Moving

Not in real life, oh, I couldn't handle that right now, lol! I've imported all my older posts to my new place over at My So-Called Homeschool . Blogger is giving me fits, and my friend Andrea has started a new homeschool blog site with her husband, what a nice coincidence. It's by invite only for now, let me know if you're looking for a new home. Andrea and Ron have really been inspiration for my not-at-either-end-of-the-spectrum style of homeschooling. I don't really fit in a box -- we unschool a little, we do workbooks, we watch tv, I think you get the picture. I think this is going to be a nice place to blog -- no cookie-cutter blogs here (well, maybe other than the templates, lol). It's going to be interesting learning all the Wordpress bells and whistles, but I did it with Blogger, right? And there's REAL PEOPLE support, can't beat that! Anyway, that's where I am now.

Cravings, Post #1

Greek Salad -- specifically, feta cheese and banana peppers. I've read pregnant women aren't supposed to eat soft cheeses, but what do you think Greek women eat while they're pregnant?

Watch Out, American Idol 2022

My little budding star has recorded her first CD! Her daddy took her to his office today and they recorded 4 tracks. Does anyone know somewhere I can upload them so you can hear them? I so want to show them off!!! She's named her CD "Jesus Controls Everything" and even drew a picture for the cover of Jesus calming the storm. It's so precious!!!

NEWS FLASH!!!

We have told my family, and his, so now I can tell the blog world.

Drumroll please . . .

. . .
. . .
. . .

Yep, #4 is percolating as we speak. Probably due around October 24, although that is really just a guess at this point. No, it wasn't planned. Yes, we know what causes that, lol! Yes, we're excited, and yes, we're totally freaked out too. We're trusting that God knows what he's doing and has a plan for how we're going to feed and house this child. I'm hoping a little for a boy so Little Dude will have a little buddy, but we've always just hoped for a healthy baby.

Yes, this explains the last post a LOT!

Do you ever have one of those days where everything makes you want to cry and you don't really know why? Yeah, having one of those today. Unfortunately my oldest is exactly like me, so we are really clashing today. I can't wait til she hits her teen years and we're all moody the same time of the month. I think we'll have to put it on the calendar so Hubby and Little Dude can vacate the house for a week. That's not my problem right now, but everything just seems so overwhelming. Job, homelife, parenting. Sigh. Off to find some kleenex . . .

Once a Week Blogging

Sorry about that! Live is just insane around here. I am homeschooling, keeping house, and getting dinner ready all before 2pm each day, before I leave for work. The job isn't too taxing or even that many hours (3-4 per day), just takes time out of the day. Hopefully I'll get into a routine soon.

What Have They Done to Our Childhood?

I'm sorry, but this

is Holly Hobbie.

This, while cute,

is not. Maybe her great-granddaughter. Maybe. Quit messing with good stuff!!!

During Prayers Tonight . . .

Dear God,

Thank you for my mommy and my daddy and my little sister and my little brother and my cat and all my friends (rambling here about who is her best friend and who only likes her when there's no one else to play with). And God, when my little brother grows up to be a big kid like me, please let him be neat and not a weirdo like most little brothers. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Still Down, But Looking Up!

Still sickness all around. I finally had a fever-free night last night, but Little Dude was burning up this morning and coughing. I gave him a breathing treatment and ibuprofin, he's a little better now. Miss M is still hacking and was a bit warm this morning, but no fever. So, it's Day 3 off of work, no groceries, trapped at home with the sick kiddies. Oh, and still mouth breathing myself, the old honker is still stuffed up something awful. Not even Sudafed will help. Of course, it might if our pharmacy still sold the real Sudafed, not that Sudafed PE junk. Those darn meth-heads have to ruin perfectly good medicine for the rest of us! Anyway, I'm praying that by tomorrow all the fevers shall have run their course and we'll all be fairly healthy.

On another topic, you'll notice I no longer have Google Adsense ads. I just got an e-mail saying I was in violation of their TOS because I have a header that says Click My Ads. Since I'm not making any money off of them anyway and I've already received my first payment from Blogads (it took me several months for it to add up to enough for a payout), I'm going to just cancel Google's ads. It's not worth changing my template for, lol!
